A 15-year-old girl who disappeared Monday near a shopping center in Whittier has been located, authorities announced Tuesday.

The teen had last been seen near the Greenleaf Village Shopping Center in the 7000 block of Greenleaf Avenue around 3:30 pm. Sunday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department described the teen as a “critical missing” in its initial advisory.

On Monday, the Sheriff’s Department provided an update on the search, stating that the missing juvenile had been found.

No details about the teen’s condition or how she was found were provided but the Sheriff’s Department thanked the public, media, Aero Bureau and deputy personnel “for their tireless efforts.”
