Two of three people, including a 12-year-old boy, who died in a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster over the weekend were identified by the coroner’s office Sunday.

Everardo Lalo Simental of Palmdale, 12, and 19-year-old Lancaster resident Christopher Terrance McGlory were killed Friday evening after their Jeep collided with a pick-up truck then slammed into a metal stop light and crashed into a tree.

Four of the five Jeep occupants were ejected and three died. As of Sunday morning, the coroner’s office had not released the name of a woman who died after being transported to Antelope Valley Hospital.

The driver of the Jeep was transported in serious condition and another passenger was critically injured, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. David Jennings said Friday.

The driver of the pick-up truck suffered minor injuries.

It was not known if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash, Lt. Slade Carrizosa said the night of the crash.
