The collision happened about 3:50 p.m. on Telegraph Road, which was subsequently closed between Greenwood and Slauson avenues (map), the Montebello Police Department said in a news release.

Firefighters and utility crews responded to the scene, where live wires were down.

The incident resulted in a power outage at a nearby Quality Inn hotel, in the 7700 block of Telegraph, where several people became stuck in elevators before being rescued, according to the release.

No one was injured in the crash or at the hotel, police said.

It was unclear when Telegraph would be reopened.
