Actor David Gail, who starred in several episodes of “Beverly Hills 90210” as Shannon Doherty’s fiancé but is possibly better known for his run as Dr. Joe Scanlon on “Port Charles,” a spinoff of the popular soap opera “General Hospital,” has died at the age of 58, according to multiple reports.  

“There’s barely been a day in my life when you were not with me, by my side always, my wingman, always my best friend,” Gail’s sister Katie Colmenares posted to her Instagram account Saturday.  

Some of Gail’s other credits included “Growing Pains,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Matlock,” “Robin’s Hoods” and “Savannah.”

“I will hold you so tight every day in my heart, you gorgeous, loving, amazing, fierce human being. Missing you every second of every day forever. There will never be another,” Colmenares’ post concluded.  

The details around the 58-year-old Florida native’s death have not been publicly confirmed, Deadline reported.
