Two armed robbers stole cash from a commercial area of Mid-City Friday morning.
The thieves, who were armed with a black handgun, stole “an unknown amount of currency” in the 5400 block of Venice Boulevard at around 9:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
After grabbing the money, the two robbers, who were wearing black clothing, fled in a four-door SUV, police said.
One person was assaulted during the incident, but they did not need to be transported to a hospital for treatment, police added.
