Prosecutors won’t file criminal charges in the death of a man who struggled with Anaheim police.

The parents of 35-year-old Christopher Eisinger are suing Anaheim for negligence and wrongful death.

But the Orange County district attorney’s office says police did nothing wrong when they tried to arrest Eisinger just after midnight on March 2 while investigating an auto burglary.

The DA’s report earlier this month says Eisinger fought with officers for five minutes before apparently losing consciousness. He died days later at a hospital.

An autopsy found Eisinger died from cardiac arrest due to coronary artery disease and the effects of methamphetamine.

The DA’s report says police didn’t kick, beat or use a Taser on Eisinger, who had no sign of serious injury. It also says paramedics were called quickly.
