The Anaheim City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to have police officers wear video cameras while on duty.

Anaheim Police Department officers have used audio recording for two years but would soon begin wearing cameras as well, officials said.

Department officials said they were concerned about balancing transparency and protecting victim’s privacy.

However, the project was voted to move forward, and was projected to cost $1.15 million over the next five years.
