Preparations continued for possible mudslides Wednesday as more rain fell on Glendora, where January’s Colby Fire left hillsides unstable and homes vulnerable.

Thousands of sandbags had been distributed to help residents keep mud and debris out of homes, but there had been no reports of damage during the dayslong storm.

A voluntary evacuation order remained in place for the Colby Fire “burn impact area,” the city of Glendora announced Wednesday afternoon.
