A 14-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert on Monday in Calaveras County has been found safe.

Sergio Vazquez was reportedly abducted around 10 a.m. by two unknown males driving a white van, a news release from the California Highway Patrol stated.

The Calaveras Unified School District sent an email to parents indicating the teenager was walking from Calaveras High School to a convenience store when he was taken, according to a report by KTLA sister station KTXL in Sacramento.

The Highway Patrol canceled the alert Monday evening, saying Vazquez had been found safe.

No other information was released.
