All eastbound lanes on a stretch of the 210 Freeway in Arcadia were shut down Saturday morning as authorities investigated a fatal shooting, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Officers responded to the call of a solo vehicle traffic collision near the Baldwin Avenue exit at around 9:06 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a car to car shooting had taken place and a woman in a black Mercedes was declared dead at the scene, officer Vince Ramirez of the CHP said.

The victim was described as a 36-year-old woman from Monrovia, according to the CHP.

All eastbound freeway lanes west of Baldwin Avenue were blocked around 9:45 a.m., with traffic being diverted off at Michillinda Avenue, the CHP said in a tweet.

All lanes were open as of 6:21 p.m., CHP said in a tweet.

The shooter remains outstanding with no details on the suspect’s vehicle being released at the moment.
