Dianne Pennington and LaWanda Sweet have accused former UCLA gynecologist and oncologist James Heaps of sexually abusing them while under his care. They’re now urging the UC Board of Regents to conduct an independent and transparent investigation of the case.

“There’s a lot of women that keep it inside. You don’t have to do that anymore,” Pennington said.
