The Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday arrested four people in connection with the tagging of a downtown Los Angeles skyscraper complex.
At about 1 p.m., officers searched a vacant building in the 1100 block of South Flower Street and found four people, all of whom were arrested on trespassing charges, police said in a news release.
That address corresponds with Oceanwide Plaza, an unfinished complex that has drawn scrutiny in recent days due to a large amount of graffiti that has been tagged high above the city streets below.
Those arrested are:
- Sebastian Zoro–Gutierrez, 29
- Andrew Rios, 30
- Mauro Aguilar, 35
- Jessie Carreon, 44
Three of them are Angelenos, while one is a Chino resident, police said without identifying which of the four is the Chino resident.
Police also said three of the four were cited and released, while a fourth “had a pending traffic violation warrant,” though jail records indicate all four were cited and released. Similarly, the outlier was not identified.
Investigators are continuing to search for other vandals.
