Three children and one adult were transported to the hospital Tuesday night after being injured in a wrong-way crash on the 605 Freeway in Baldwin Park, authorities said.

The wrong-way driver was traveling south in the northbound lanes for about three minutes before colliding with another vehicle, according to Officer Patrick Kimball with the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. near Lower Azusa Road and the 605 Freeway.

It was not clear which vehicle the injured patients were traveling in.

The extent of their injuries was also unknown.
