A crash in San Bernardino County involving a United States Forest Service vehicle left one person dead and several others injured Saturday.

Authorities say the crash occurred on Highway 38 near Forest Falls and involved a Forest Service vehicle and an RV.

When crews arrived on the scene, one person was pronounced dead while several others were found injured. At least two victims were transported to the hospital with major injuries.

One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames when first responders arrived at the scene. It’s unclear what caused the deadly crash. The victims’ identities were not released as the investigation remains ongoing.

It has been a deadly weekend on the roads in Southern California. Two people were left dead after a multi-vehicle crash in Baldwin Hills.  

On Friday, two teenage siblings were killed in a single-vehicle accident in Rancho Cucamonga. In a separate incident, a man was killed on the 101 Freeway near Oxnard after being struck by multiple vehicles.
