An affordable airline that services Southern California is adding more flights in and out of LAX and John Wayne Airport.
On Tuesday, Breeze Airways announced it would be adding three new seasonal flights from LAX and one new seasonal flight from Orange County.
The new Los Angeles destinations will be:
- Madison, Wisconsin: Wednesdays and Saturdays — starting May 22, from $99 one way
- Akron-Canton, Ohio: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays — starting May 23, from $119 one way
- Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina: Mondays and Fridays — starting May 24, from $139 one way
The new Orange County service will offer flights to:
- Tampa, Florida: Mondays and Fridays — starting May 31, from $139 one way
All flights are seasonal for the summer, the airline said, and those introductory rates are only available when booking a new reservation by Jan. 29. Taxes and additional fees are included.
Breeze began flying in March 2021 and has quickly expanded, offering dozens of nonstop flights from airports around the country. The budget airline began serving LAX in November 2022 and John Wayne Airport in February 2023.
It also offers direct flights to Las Vegas from San Bernardino International Airport.
“Since we started flying in May 2021, Breeze has continued to add desirable destinations to our rapidly growing footprint,” said CEO and founder David Neeleman. “These new additions from Los Angeles and Orange County will surely be welcomed as we bring efficient, affordable and elevated travel to more underserved markets.”
The Utah-based airline says its business model centers around serving underserved cities and offering “affordable fares with plenty of perks,” including fewer fees, free family seating and enhanced seating options. Breeze says it doesn’t charge for changes or cancellations up to 15 minutes before departure and offers other benefits like a la carte pricing.
