Gayle Anderson previewed the Bissell Pet Foundation’s National Empty the Shelters campaign. It is the largest funded adoption event in the country. The program calls for the adoption of pets from May 1 through May 15.

For this event, Bissell Pet Foundation sponsors has reduced the adoption fees to $50 for you to bring home a new dog or $20 to bring home a new cat or kitten from spcaLA.

Bissell Pet Foundation exists to support animal welfare organizations and provide resources to underserved communities. This includes helping to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues through pet adoption, spay/neuter programs, vaccinations, microchipping, and crisis and disaster response.

May 1 through May 15 at spcaLA Pet Adoption Centers:

*$50 dog adoption fees (excludes puppies 3 months old and younger) for qualified adopters.
*$20 cat/kitten adoption fees for qualified adopters.

spcaLA Summer Camp Scholarships:
*Help spcaLA win a $25K grant for Camp – youngsters (13-26) who live, learn, work, or play in Long Beach VOTE through May 4th
*Provides 40 Long Beach youth with camp scholarships, as well as transportation & meals for one week this summer.
*Work with shelter dogs to learn obedience & agility training, socialize cats, and more while having fun with friends.
*spcaLA is one of 13 Long Beach area youth-serving organizations competing for $400K of public funds from Measure US.
