This is an exciting site for anyone aboard a whale watching boat. Several groups of orcas, also known as killer whales, are along the California Coast. According to the California Killer Whale Project such a sight is not new because the organization says the orcas are definitely hunting.

“Cabinet of Curiosities: 70 Objects for 70 Years” – objects so rare and absurd they have never been exhibited publicly.

“Lasting Impressions” – museum’s seven decades collection of fine art.

And, “Time Changes All Odds: Photography & Catalina” – explores how photography has contributed to the identity of the island since the medium’s introduction in the 1800s.

Carroll Shelby, the pioneer of high-performance automobiles, race car driver, car designer and car manufacturer, best known for Shelby Cobra and the Ford Mustang. His February 11th, 1923, birthday is celebrated tomorrow Sunday, at the annual Shelby Cruise In.  

The event includes a panel discussion with designers, engineers, drivers, celebrities, and other inspiring personalities to tell the story of how such an iconic car has evolved and contributed to the culture as well as complimentary parking, food, and beverages.
