Flavor Flav is doing his part to try and save the Red Lobster.
In a post to Instagram, the Public Enemy rapper revealed he took his family to the seafood restaurant and ordered the whole menu.
“Ya boy said he wuz gonna do everything to help Red Lobster and save the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, ordered the whole menu!!!!!” he wrote on the platform.
In the post, Flav can be seen standing near a table full of menu items.
“It’s flavor time, boyeeeeeeee!” the Red Lobster account commented.
Last month, the restaurant chain announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and revealed it was shutting down close to 50 locations across the country.
“Bankruptcy is a word that is often misunderstood,” Red Lobster said in a statement on May 21. “Filing for bankruptcy does not mean we are going out of business. In fact, it means just the opposite. It is a legal process that allows us to make changes to our business and our cost structure so that Red Lobster can continue as a stronger company going forward. As many of you know, we recently made the tough decision to close a number of our restaurants.”
The chain explained that brands like Delta and Hertz “used this same process to protect their futures and their customers stood with them and rooted them on. And because of that, they emerged stronger.”
“Flavor of Love” fans will remember the hip-hop legend’s fondness for Red Lobster when he took Sweetie to the chain for one of their dates on Season 1 of Episode 3 of his VH1 dating show from the early 2000s.
