Simone Boyce was a general assignment reporter for KTLA 5 News. She left the station in May 2018.

Simone Boyce is an Emmy-nominated news reporter, anchor and producer with over 4 million views on You Tube. As a reporter on the KTLA 5 Morning News, she enjoys covering political headlines and local perspectives on immigration, race relations and the environment. Simone was born right here in Pasadena and is elated to be back home in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining KTLA, Simone appeared as the entertainment anchor at WNYW in New York City. In 2015, Simone debuted her own half-hour show – “Simone in the City” – which she hosted and executive produced in the No. 1 media market. Appearing live on WNYW’s nightly news, she covered a wide range of cultural news topics, from the smash Broadway musical “Hamilton” to the 2016 presidential election.

She anchored several live shows on WNYW, including “Good Day New York,” “Friday Night Live” and “New Year’s Eve in Times Square,” and held a recurring role as a news reporter on Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning series “Orange is the New Black.”

Beyond her on-air work, Simone is an accomplished producer and documentary filmmaker. She is currently developing an original documentary series that explores the science of systemic racism.
