Rahshaun Haylock

Rahshaun Haylock was born and raised an Angeleno and is thrilled to join the KTLA 5 family. The multi-faceted journalist comes to KTLA after spending six seasons as a host and reporter on the “CIF Southern Section Game of the Week” and college basketball coverage at FOX Sports West/Prime Ticket. Haylock was a part of a team that spearheaded the award-winning “Year of…” series, featuring some of the top prospects in the area, including future NFL first round draft picks Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold. Haylock was also a columnist for FOXSportsWest.com.

In addition to his time with the regional network, Haylock has also called games for ESPN and served as a correspondent for Stadium. No stranger to the market, he spent time as a web reporter for KCBS/KCAL. There, he was the original host of the Carl’s Jr. Fan Cam and part of a team that hosted the very first “Signing Day Special” in the history of the duopoly. He began his career as a sideline reporter for Hawthorne/Lawndale Community Cable and calling games for SportsNetUSA.net. Some of his career highlights include covering the Lakers win over the Celtics in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend and interviewing “Zeke from Cabin Creek.”  

Rahshaun is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. A self-proclaimed “foodie,” in his free time he enjoys watching cooking shows, wine tasting, traveling, catching games at different arenas and stadiums across the country, spending time with family and attending church with his grandmother. Rahshaun and his wife have one daughter and reside in the South Bay.
