Mary Beth McDade

Award-winning journalist Mary Beth McDade is a reporter and anchor for KTLA.

Prior to joining the KTLA news team, she worked at KCBS-TV/KCAL-TV as a reporter and fill-in anchor. While there, she covered everything from the passing of Anna Nicole Smith in Miami to the major earthquake that rocked Hawaii in 2006. She was also the only L.A. reporter to conduct a jailhouse interview with Skylar Deleon after he was convicted of murdering a Newport Beach couple.

Mary Beth also spent a great deal of time in New York throughout her career. She was the weekend anchor at News 12 Long Island, where she often hosted its weekly news talk shows “Ad Issue” and “Reporter Roundtable.” When she wasn’t behind the anchor desk at the 24-hour news channel, she was out pounding the pavement as a general assignment reporter and putting together blockbuster investigative series. She won a Long Island Press Club Award and a Gilbert Award for her “Gangs of Long Island” series.

Mary Beth earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Manhattan College where she was a member of both the communications and the government and politics honor societies. She graduated with honors.
