Jonathan Williams is an Assignment Desk Assistant at KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles.
Growing up in a home surrounded by athletes, Jonathan has always loved sports. An athlete himself on the Eagle Rock High School boys’ volleyball team, Jonathan’s competitive drive has pushed him into the world of journalism and photography.
After earning the title of sports editor after one issue on the El Vaquero staff at Glendale Community College, Jonathan has since written many stories for the El Vaquero, received scholarships, won awards at state conferences, and written professionally for the Los Angeles Daily News, Glendale News-Press, South Pasadena Review, and San Marino Register.
Jonathan fulfilled a lifelong goal of working in public relations for the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 2022 season. Later that year, he was accepted into the University of Southern California’s journalism graduate program at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
In May 2023, he completed his M.A. in Specialized Journalism and now works at KTLA 5.
