John Fenoglio joined KTLA as a general assignment reporter in January 2016.
Prior to joining KTLA, Fenoglio was a general assignment reporter for KTRK, the ABC station in Houston. Reporting in his hometown, Fenoglio covered a variety of issues, including stories of human smuggling from Mexico; Houston’s failed equal rights ordinance; and stories of heroism and tragedy during the Spring of 2015 when thunderstorms, tornadoes and flooding pummeled southeast Texas.
Before KTRK, he served as a weekend anchor and multi-media journalist for KRON in San Francisco. His notable reporting in the Bay Area includes coverage of the crash of Asiana Flight 214 at SFO and California’s severe drought.
His previous experience includes working as an L.A.-based correspondent for CBS Newspath. He was also fortunate to have some international exposure, from his time as a West Coast correspondent for France 24 International News 24/7.
When he’s not following politics, Fenoglio is an avid outdoorsman. He loves to backpack throughout California’s vast wilderness whenever possible. He also relishes any opportunity to go fishing with his brother, who is a fly fishing guide in Montana.
Fenoglio is also a former EMT and volunteer firefighter, as well as a former student of Chicago’s Improv Olympic. He loves great stories, good people, exotic food and all things politics.
