Bobby Gonzalez is a multimedia journalist and host appearing on 5 Live, KTLA’s digital-only newscast.
Bobby joined KTLA as a college intern in 2012, and has worn many different hats throughout his career at the station. Some of his notable roles were as an associate producer for the KTLA 5 Morning News and producer of the Frank Buckley Interviews television program. In 2016, Bobby led the station’s podcasting initiative by producing and launching the station’s first podcast. He has now overseen the production of over a dozen KTLA podcasts. He joined the 5 Live team as a co-host in 2020.
Bobby graduated with a Radio, Television, and Film degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2012. Born and raised in the city of Whittier, Bobby has spent much of his time in both Orange County and L.A. County. He is passionate about using storytelling to help enrich local communities.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, catching a good movie and trying new local pizza joints.
