Investigators responding to a reported bomb threat did not find any suspicious devices or packages during their search of Alain LeRoy Locke College Preparatory Academy Friday.
Authorities were alerted to the situation at the South Los Angeles high school just after 7 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Officer Eiseman said.
Students had not yet arrived for classes when authorities learned of the possible bomb threat, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Crowder said.
Any staff members who were at the school were asked to leave the campus, Crowder said.
A search of the school did not turn up any signs of a bomb, so the campus was cleared, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy at the scene told KTLA.
Classes were canceled for the day due to the investigation, school spokesperson Sean Thibault said.
