As the Camp Fire still burned in Northern California, almost two feet of snow fell on Mammoth Mountain in the Inyo National Forest over thanksgiving weekend.

The snow blanketed the mountain, and continued to fall Friday morning, with up to three inches of snow falling overnight.

Skiers and snowboarders took to the slopes, with lots of fresh powder to enjoy.

12 trails and six lifts were open.

The build-up was at 15 inches at the main lodge and 23 inches at the summit, according to Mammoth Mountain’s website.

Up to one foot of snow was expected to fall throughout the day Friday.
