Los Angeles, Calif. — UCLA’s head coach basketball coach Ben Howland has reportedly been fired.

ESPN reported that the school is expected to announce the firing as early as Sunday, citing a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

UCLA released a statement on Saturday night saying that the coach had not been fired.

Howland has coached 10 seasons at UCLA and led the team to the Final Four three times.

The Bruins lost to Minnesota 83-63 on Friday night, exiting the NCAA tournament in the 2nd round.
