A German shepherd puppy that was seen being removed from her owner’s East Los Angeles home has been found safe, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“TJ” was given to Francisco Torres, an Iraq war veteran, to help ease his post-traumatic stress disorder.
Security footage at Torres home showed an unknown man opening a gate in his yard and letting the dog out on Oct. 31.
The dog was apparently found by sheriff’s officials on Saturday and was returned to Torres.
No arrests have been made in the incident, though officials had previously told the couple it may not be a crime since the man did not forcibly remove TJ from the home.
The matter remains under investigation.
