A fire in Garden Grove Monday destroyed several motorhomes and caused an estimated loss of over $1 million, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported just before 2 p.m. at Pacific R.V., 13731 Harbor Blvd., according to the Garden Grove Fire Department.
First responders found two motorhomes on fire next to a commercial building. The blaze quickly spread to to two additional motorhomes, but firefighters were able to stop further spread.
A gas tank ruptured while firefighters were battling the blaze and a large amount of gasoline spilled onto the ground, officials said.
It took about 50 firefighters from several agencies more than an hour to knock down the blaze.
A Garden Grove firefighter was taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion, officials said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
