A mother got an unexpected reaction from a professor in Texas after she took her 4-month-old child to class with her.

Former Marine Katy Humphrey’s babysitter had canceled and she needed to get to class at Baylor University so she knew she had only one option: to take the child with her.

It was somewhat rough at first because Milly was a bit fussy.

Instead of putting the mother and child out of class, the professor picked her up and held Milly in his arms for the rest of the 55-minute lecture.

Milly was silent and happy the rest of the class. The professor, Darryn Willoughby, said he would do it again in a heartbeat.

“Taking care of others in a time of need, and even in not a time of need, just loving and caring about others — that God’s purpose,” he said.
