The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down the driver of a pickup truck who struck and killed a pedestrian in East Hollywood last month.

The truck hit a 26-year-old woman from Los Angeles who was in a crosswalk headed west across Western Avenue at the intersection with Rosewood Avenue at 3:21 a.m. on June 22, police said in a news release.

The vehicle, believed to be a white 2015-18 model Chevrolet Silverado with visible damage to its driver’s side headlight, was headed south on Western Avenue and did not stop after the woman was hit.

The woman was declared dead at a local hospital.

Anyone with information about the truck or the driver is asked to call Detective D. Holmes at 213-473-0238.
