“It’s Alive! It’s Alive!” From monsters to werewolves and vampires, enter the dark and mysterious world of the new “Dark Universe” coming to Universal Orlando next year.

Universal unearthed new details and a special sneak peek Thursday of all the timeless monsters coming to the new park, which is one of the five immersive worlds in the all-new Epic Universe.

The new world will envelop guests in monstrous adventures across various haunting attractions, blending the iconic stories of unearthly legends such as Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein and more, with a new generation of monsters and characters.

Welcome to Darkmoor

The journey to Dark Universe begins the moment guests enter through its “electrifying portal,” which harnesses the dark energy of Darkmoor.

Once inside, parkgoers will embark on unique adventures where they can get made up to look like their favorite monsters, spin through the woods, and ride Universal’s most “chilling ride ever.”

More chilling and unsettling adventures await below:

Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment

Universal’s “most terrifying attraction yet” will take guests deep into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor, where Dr. Victoria Frankenstein conducts her twisted experiments. Guests will enter her laboratory to see her control monsters; however, her plans go awry when she tries to control Dracula.

Guests will try to evade the grasps of The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Brides of Dracula, and more on the thrilling ride.

Curse of the Werewolf

Deep in the woods of Darkmoor, guests will stumble upon the Curse of the Werewolf, a spinning family coaster inspired by the one and only “Wolf Man.”

Maleva will greet guests at the encampment of The Guild of Mystics, who warns riders will bear the mark of the werewolf. Guests will then board a wagon and venture into the forest as they race to escape the werewolves before the hairy beasts become their own fate.

Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience

Become a monster yourself with this family-friendly attraction. Don elaborate face paint and temporary tattoos in Dr. Pretorius’ infamous old lab-turned parlor.

Skilled artisans will use their talents to transform guests’ outer appearances so they can showcase their fandom for the Universal Monsters.

Meet the Monsters

No matter where you are in Darkmoor, there’s always someone…or something…looming in the shadows, including monsters who are eager to meet and greet those who dare enter the Dark Universe.

Das Stakehau

Sink your teeth into delicious monster-themed foods at Darkmoor’s most ominous restaurant. As the name suggests, Das Stakehau is a dining hall run by vampire “familiars” who size up unsuspecting patrons to be part of their vampires’ feast.

Kebabs, burgers, sandwiches, and more delectable foods are featured on the menu. As Dracula would say, “You von’t vant to miss it.”

The Burning Blade Tavern

Despite the burning windmill blades, don’t be alarmed as The Burning Blade Tavern is Darkmoor’s monster hunter’s favorite hangout spot.

Enjoy beloved bar foods such as burgers, wings, bratwurst, pretzels and specialty beverages. While dining, guests will also hear stories of the infamous “Hounds” — boastful hunters from beyond Darkmoor — all while surrounded by the hunter’s favorite trophies: monster heads.

De Lacey’s Cottage

Only want a “bite” to eat? Stop at De Lacey’s Cottage food stand near Frankenstein Manor.

Parkgoers can find a variety of snacks and cool treats like cinnamon bread, ice cream, twisted taters and more, right at the spot where Frankenstein’s Monster once received sustenance and friendship.

For parkgoers who need a little more horror in their life, stop at retail locations like Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities to bring home a piece of the immortal world of the Dark Universe.
