Psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen‘s pioneering approach to cognitive function and mental health centers on SPECT scans of the brain, which he uses to analyze physiological activity instead of a traditional method of treating “symptom clusters.” KTLA reporter Kacey Montoya and executive producer Jake Burch underwent scans and analysis at Amen’s Los Angeles clinic.
