Dozens of residents of a Pasadena neighborhood woke up with no power on Saturday after a major crash that killed three people, police said.
Pasadena Police Department officials told to KTLA that the collision took place around 2:30 a.m. on Foothill Boulevard near Vista Avenue. Power was knocked out to about 46 homes immediately after the crash, Pasadena police stated.
Footage from the scene shows a mangled white sedan in front of a severely damaged structure with debris scattered across the roadway.
Just before 10 a.m. Saturday, Pasadena police confirmed that there were six occupants inside the Tesla Model 3 involved in the crash.
Of the six occupants, three died while the other three remain in critical condition, law enforcement officials said.
No victim identities have been released.
Foothill Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Craig Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard while authorities investigate. Water and power crews were on scene working to restore services.
