Breeze Airways, a budget-friendly airline that began flying in 2021, is slashing prices on all roundtrip fares to celebrate an important milestone: its first full month of operating profit.

The airline is offering 40% off all flights between April 28 and June 13 when using the promo code “UNIQUE” at checkout.

The window to book a flight with the discounted prices is fleeting; the offer will only last through Wednesday, April 10 at 11:59 p.m.

Flights can be booked the company’s website and app.

Since business operations began in 2019, Breeze Airways has expanded to 56 cities in 29 states, offering more than 170 nonstop seasonal and year-round routes, officials said.

The airline operates a bevy of flights in Southern California from LAX, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, San Bernardino International Airport and San Diego International Airport, as well as offering service out of San Francisco International Airport.

Founded by David Neeleman, who previously co-founded JetBlue, the Utah-based airline says its business model centers around providing flights to underserved destinations and offering “affordable fares with plenty of perks” including fewer fees, free family seating and enhanced seating options. Breeze says it doesn’t charge for changes or cancellations up to 15 minutes before departure and offers other benefits like a la carte pricing.

The airline has expanded into several small- and medium-sized markets and it says it’s currently the largest carrier in 11 different cities, including San Bernardino, where it is the only commercial airline. Earlier this year, the company celebrated flying 5 million passengers.

“Starting an airline is not for the faint of heart but we have remained true to our purpose – to give millions of travelers in underserved markets access to efficient and affordable air travel,” Neeleman said in a news release.

The founder and CEO said the company employs more than 1,800 people who have faced a “multitude of challenges and setbacks [and] persevered to build something truly impactful.”

March was the company’s first full month of operating profit, officials say. Last month’s generated revenue totaled more than the entirety of the company’s first quarter of 2023.
