The FBI is looking for a man caught on security footage near the site of an attack on an electrical substation in Torrance last year, and a reward of up to $25,000 is available for helping track him down.

The Aug. 20, 2023, attack involved shooting a transformer at the Southern California Edison substation at 21760 Madrona Ave. and turning off circuit breakers, the FBI said in a news release.

“No one was injured during the incident, but property was significantly damaged,” the FBI said. Tampering with electrical equipment can result in felony charges, officials added.

The man spotted nearby was wearing a tan overcoat with a hood, black pants and boots.
