A hit-and-run driver crashed into a fire hydrant and power pole in Long Beach early Sunday morning in a rollover collision, according to authorities.
The crash was reported just before 1 a.m. in the area of Spring Street & Temple Avenue. Police arrived to find a white Land Rover that had rolled over and sheared a fire hydrant.
The hydrant sprayed water more than 20 feet into the air and took firefighters about 20 minutes to shut off.
No one was at the scene when authorities arrived. There was no word on any potential suspects as of Sunday morning.
