Federal agents and local authorities arrested two men Thursday night on suspicion of trying to support overseas terrorist organizations after conducting several searches in Orange County, according to law enforcement sources.

One man was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport, and the second man was arrested at an undisclosed location in Orange County, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

Neither is accused of planning an attack within the U.S., sources said. Their names were not released.

Both men were described as “homegrown violent extremists” who were heading overseas, according to two sources.
