The heavy rains in Southern California are continuing to endanger drivers, most recently in Rancho Palos Verdes.

A mudslide left dirt, water and debris on Palos Verdes Drive, resulting in the road’s closure.

The closure, which was lifted by about 11:40 a.m., was in place between Palos Verdes Drive East and Hawthorne Boulevard, L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn said on X, formerly Twitter.

Aerial footage from Sky5 showed Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and a bulldozer clearing the roadway.

The Fire Department “is asking all Palos Verdes Peninsula residents to shelter in place until the storm cell moves through,” Hahn added.
