A man who works at the Menifee Union School District faces possible charges for possession of child pornography, according to the Menifee Police Department.

Tristan Pérez, 28, was arrested Tuesday morning by law enforcement, including Menifee police and the national Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Details about his alleged crimes are limited, but police confirmed that he is employed by the school district in an undisclosed role.

So far, investigators say there is no reason to believe that any students or members of the community are victims.

Jail records indicate that Pérez has been booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta and is being held on $10,000 bail.

His next court date is scheduled for Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact MPD Detective Marcinko by email or by calling 951-723-1613.
