A person was wounded in a shooting near a Hollywood strip club early Friday morning, and the suspected shooter was taken into custody only a few blocks from the scene.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at Crazy Girls Hollywood in the 1400 block of North La Brea Avenue a few minutes before 3 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

One person was struck, and they were taken to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The suspected shooter fled in an older gray Infiniti, but he was taken into custody at a Shell gas station at La Brea and Fountain avenues. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helped capture the man, police said.

The suspected shooter’s name, age and city of residence have not been released.
