Two people were rushed to a hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle collided with a minivan in Pacoima Thursday morning, authorities said.

The injury crash occurred in the 13400 Van Nuys Boulevard (map) around 8:15 a.m., according to a tweet from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Aerial video over the scene showed the wreckage of the motorcycle, which was laying on its side in the middle of the intersection.

The van came to a stop on a sidewalk in front of a restaurant. Yellow tape was wrapped around it, according to video from Sky5.

At least three Los Angeles Police Department patrol cars had responded to the scene.

Van Nuys Boulevard was coned off and appeared to be closed in both directions as of 9:20 a.m., the video showed.

No further details were immediately available about the crash or the two injured people.
