A female jumped onto the Red Line tracks at the Hollywood/Vine station Wednesday afternoon but was able to walk out, a Metro spokesman said.
The person entered the tracks about 3:15 p.m., Metro spokesman Luis Inzunza said. Electricity was turned off and deputies approached the person, who was able to walk out and was hospitalized, he said.
Inzunza did not have her age and could only describe her as “female.”
The southbound track was temporarily closed during an investigation, and trains bound for both North Hollywood and Union Station were sharing the northbound track. Service was returned to normal about 4 p.m., but delays that were expected to continue through 5 p.m.
Metro said it would provide updates on its Twitter account.
