Two people were tied up during a home-invasion robbery early Friday morning in West Carson, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Park Circle (map), said Sgt. Laura Sosa of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Carson station. The house is located in an unincorporated area of the county.

It was unclear how many perpetrators were involved in the robbery.

The home was ransacked, and cash and jewelry were taken, Sosa said.

The victims, who were uninjured, freed themselves and then went to a neighbor’s house to call 911, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The victims own a liquor store in Hawthorne, Sosa said. It was unknown if they were were targeted.
