A vigil will be held Friday evening to remember the victims of Wednesday’s mass shooting at Cook’s Corner that left four people dead, including the gunman.

The identities of all three victims have been released. They are Tonya Clark, 49, of Scottsdale, Arizona, John Leehey, 67, of Irvine and Glen Sprowl Jr., 53, of Stanton.

The suspected gunman, John Snowling, 59, died in a shootout with deputies.

On Thursday, a search warrant was served at a home in the 4500 block of El Capitan Place in Camarillo that Snowling once shared with his estranged wife who, authorities say, was his primary target.

It was unclear what, if anything, was recovered from the home.

Investigators say Snowling, a former Ventura police sergeant, was armed with three handguns and a shotgun when he walked into the popular Orange County bar and restaurant after driving cross-country from Ohio where he lived.

He walked up to his estranged wife around 7 p.m. and shot her in the face. There was apparently no discussion, argument or confrontation before Snowling started shooting, Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes said.

Marie Snowling, who now lives in Orange County, was hospitalized in critical condition but was alert and speaking, Barnes said.

Snowling then shot Clark, who died from her injuries as she tried to leave the restaurant, O.C. District Attorney Todd Spitzer said. He continued to randomly shoot at patrons inside and outside the bar, and at one point, returned to his truck to retrieve the shotgun and another handgun.

Snowling was confronted in the parking lot by Leehey, who was shot and killed.

Deputies arrived to find Snowling still in the parking lot, where he opened fire and struck several patrol vehicles. Multiple deputies returned fire, killing the gunman at the scene, Barnes said.

Within a span of about two minutes, three people were dead and six others were wounded.

In addition to Snowling’s wife, a man who was shot in the chest remains in critical condition.

Of the remaining victims, a man who was shot in the arm underwent surgery and was in stable condition. Three other men suffered minor injuries and were eventually released from the hospital.

“We stand in mourning alongside the family and friends of Tonya, John and Glen,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a tweet that included photos of two victims. “Please join us in wishing all who knew and loved them comfort during this extremely difficult time.”
