The tree fell just after 7 a.m. and landed on the roof of the home located in the 6500 block of Quartz Avenue (map), according to Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No one was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported in the incident, Main said.

Most of the home’s roof was covered by the downed tree, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

There was no word on what caused the tree to fall, but it did not appear to be weather related, according to Main.

Building and safety crews were called to the property to investigate the damage.
