A Metro bus was shot at in Exposition Park near the Coliseum on Tuesday afternoon, and police were searching for the gunman and the weapon used.

No one was injured when the Los Angeles County Metro bus was fired on from the outside, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jane Kim said.

Officers were called to the scene, at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Figueroa Street (map), about 4 p.m., she said.

The area is kitty-corner from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and a few blocks south of the USC campus.

No one was hurt, Kim said.

A search was ongoing for the person who fired at the bus, and for the firearm used.
