Eleven schools part of the Ocean View School District in Huntington Beach were tested for asbestos, a district official said Saturday.
At least one of the schools, Hope View elementary, was scheduled to be closed Monday and Tuesday due to the testing.
The action came two days after more than 100 parents and teachers met to discuss the potential problems of asbestos exposure, which include cancer.
