The incident occurred about 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Place Mall, located at 2850 N. Main Street (map), according to a news release.

After pepper-spraying the security guard twice, the woman fled on foot and got into a newer-model silver Nissan four-door sedan, the Santa Ana Police Department said.

Two men were in the vehicle, which was last seen traveling eastbound through a parking lot before heading in an unknown direction on Main Street, the release said.

The woman is described as Caucasian, in her mid-30s, with dark red hair and tattoos on both arms.
