Rachel is a general assignment reporter at KTLA 5. She was born in New Haven, CT, and spent her early years in Boston, Massachusetts before moving with her family to Los Angeles. She is honored to be telling stories that impact her own L.A. community.
Prior to joining KTLA, Rachel worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at CBS Baltimore. She has also served at stations in St. Louis, Missouri, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Her reporting has taken her inside the courtroom for civil and criminal trials, to legislative hearings and political investigations.
Rachel is a proud graduate of UCLA (Go Bruins!). She received her master’s degree in journalism at Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Subsequently, she was one of eight McCormick National Security Fellows based in Washington D.C. Her reporting led her to Kyiv and eastern areas of Ukraine where she studied U.S. involvement in landmine destruction efforts in and around the Former Soviet Union.
In her free time, Rachel loves to hike the trails at Griffith Park, rollerblade on the Santa Monica boardwalk, or catch a show at the Pantages Theater. Please feel free to reach out with story ideas or just to say hi. She’s on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
